Kiln Forming includes fusing, slumping and casting glass. In this two day introduction class we'll explore fusing and slumping. Day one we'll talk about the properties of glass, firing schedules and what they are, cut glass and finally assemble a few pieces that will be fused. Day two we'll examine the fused glass making sure there are no sharp edges and everything looks good to slump into a mold to form plates. We'll discuss the design choices that were made and the results. Beginners are welcome and all supplies and tools are provided for this two day, 4 hour class.
