This is a two day class with the second class scheduled for the following Saturday, May 14, from 9:30-11:30. In this two day introduction class we'll explore fusing and slumping. Day one we'll talk about the properties of glass, firing schedules and what they are, cut glass and finally assemble a few pieces that will be fused. Day two we'll examine the fused glass making sure there are no sharp edges and everything looks good to slump into a mold to form plates. We'll discuss the design choices that were made and the results. Beginners are welcome and all supplies and tools are provided for this two day, 5 hour class.
